Alice A. Casidy - Master Stitch Witch

Alice Casidy is the founder and resident Stitch Witch of Stitch Witch Studio, a spellbinding sewing sanctuary nestled in sunny Byron Bay in the Northern Rivers of NSW.

Working at the crossroads of sustainability and craftsmanship, Alice performs garment alterations, resurrections, and transfigurations—transforming worn or forgotten pieces into heirloom treasures designed to be loved for generations. Her practice is rooted in a deep respect for natural materials, slow fashion, and the stories held within cloth.

Inspired by antique sewing machines, wild landscapes, and the rhythms of nature, Alice brings a sense of ritual and magic into every stitch. Her studio is a place not only for creation, but for teaching—empowering others to sew, mend, and define their own style through skill and intention.

Outside the studio, Alice lives with her young family on the edge of the forest, where she tends to flowers, creates textile art, and embraces a life guided by creativity, sustainability, and a touch of everyday magic.
